Location: Seattle, WA

Konnections Staffing (hiring for an ABA therapy startup client)

About the Company We’re partnering with a tech-forward ABA therapy startup in Vancouver, WA that’s building cutting-edge tools to help children with autism achieve meaningful outcomes. The founding team includes seasoned ABA professionals and operators who value innovation, data-driven care, and collaborative growth.

Position Overview We’re seeking a Clinical Director/BCBA who brings deep Washington-state expertise in insurance-funded ABA therapy and is excited to help build and scale a high-quality clinical program from the ground up. This is an ideal role for an entrepreneurial BCBA who wants to shape clinical standards, mentor a growing team, and contribute to product and process innovation. The initial engagement will be as a 1099 contractor with strong interest in an equity track as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale clinical programs, ensuring adherence to WA-specific payer and regulatory requirements and best practices in ABA.
  • Oversee assessment, treatment planning, supervision, and outcomes management for a growing caseload and team.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop BCBAs, RBTs, and technicians; establish high-caliber training and QA processes.
  • Partner with families, schools, and interdisciplinary providers to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care.
  • Own utilization management and documentation standards aligned with Washington insurers and Medicaid requirements.
  • Implement data-driven clinical decision-making; contribute feedback to improve internal tooling and workflows.
  • Collaborate with leadership on service design, growth planning, clinical KPIs, and market expansion.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing professional development across the clinical team.
Qualifications
  • BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing as a BCBA in Washington State with excellent knowledge of WA insurance-funded ABA (payer policies, authorization processes, documentation, and compliance).
  • Prefer 5+ years total clinical experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success building or improving clinical programs, supervision systems, and outcomes tracking.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and excitement about building in a startup.
  • Strong communicator with collaborative leadership style and commitment to high ethical standards.
  • Passion for leveraging technology to improve access, quality, and efficiency of care.
Compensation & Structure
  • 1099 contractor to start, with an equity track for candidates aligned with long-term growth.
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
  • Flexible schedule with supportive, mission-driven leadership.
  • Professional development and CEU support.
Why This Role
  • Build from the ground up with a capable, experienced team in the ABA space.
  • Shape clinical culture, standards, and technology-enabled workflows.
  • Meaningful equity opportunity tied to clinical and business impact.

If you have Washington-based BCBA experience and are energized by building an innovative ABA program, we’d love to connect.
